about our junior program

The CBVA Junior Program is primarily a social sports activity aimed at kids between 4 and 17 years old. This program is run by a mix of volunteers and paid staff members/coaches. We like to be inclusive of all our community members and be as flexible as we can to accommodate everyone’s training needs.

Children have access to at least one training session per week during a week or weekend day. Each training session lasts 60-90 minutes, based on the age group.

All our coaches have Working with Children Checks and are trained by our head Coach, Marcos Molina. Marcos has thirty years experience as a school sports teacher and volleyball coach. He designs a program for the different age groups, and develops a progression level for them, with star-level to track and encourage their performance.

CBVA is also proposing a School program during the winter season to allow school aged kids to experience beach volleyball at its best. This is arranged by contacting us directly at

Structure of the junior program

The program is aimed at kids between 4 and 17 years old. After the age of 18 years old players will no longer come under the Junior Program and will pay clubs membership as an adult.

Although the program is structured by age group, kids are encouraged to move training sessions to match their skill level.

We operate by school terms. Each term is 9-10 week long in duration and the term includes a free tournament. Our season goes from October to April. Only competitive teams continue training over winter and the participation of each child is at the discretion of the coach / head coach.
