As the summer season approaches, we’re excited to see more people keen to hit the courts and enjoy the beach volleyball vibes at CBVA! However, it’s important to remember that all players must be members of the club to participate in games, training, and events. Membership verification is simple: just ensure the person is queuing with their current season membership card (with the orange background) or check their registration status on RevSport. This helps ensure that everyone is covered by insurance and that the club can continue to maintain courts and equipment. Playing without membership isn’t permitted, so if you know someone interested in joining, please encourage them to register online and become part of our community. Why does it matter? CBVA is legally responsible for everyone playing on the courts, and any misconduct could lead to penalties on our court lease by Randwick City Council, potentially reducing the available playing time for the entire club. Members enjoy plenty of benefits like free tshirt, social events and tournaments, discounted volleyballs and apparel and a great community. Let’s make this summer an unforgettable season of volleyball while respecting the rules that keep our club thriving. Thank you for your cooperation and enthusiasm!
On the 25th of October, our club was thrilled to host three-time beach volleyball Olympian Mariafe Artacho del Solar in collaboration with Rockwear AustraliaIt was so great to have an Olympian on our courts and see her in action! Five lucky members had the opportunity to support Mariafe’s training session, and they were also rewarded with some free Rockwear apparel as a ‘thank you’ for their efforts. Those in attendance were then also treated to some free coffees and smoothies thanks to the team at Rockwear! A heartfelt thank you goes to Alessia, our Partnerships Manager, and to Rockwear for making this special event possible.
We are excited to announce ‘The Pav’ has now joined Avion as a major sponsor of CBVA.The Coogee Pavilion (a.k.a ‘The Pav’) were a natural choice for our club given their proximity to the courts, and the number of members who regularly frequent the venue! It is a place that helps us fulfill our purpose of bringing people together, and has done so for many years. The Pav have kindly given us sponsorship funds and preferential pricing for catering on CBVA events (like the post tournament pizzas!). We use sponsorship funds to continually reinvest in the Club, and its members by way of subsidising purchases for members (balls, apparel), supporting Juniors, and other maintenance and operating costs, to name a few areas. We would like to thank The Pav and their team for supporting our local community.A huge amount of effort goes into developing relationships and finalising opportunities like this, so a massive ‘thank you’ goes to Alessia again for her role in securing this partnership.
