Introduction

The purpose of this policy is to outline expectations of behaviour by CBVA coaches conducting Adult Training.

Definitions
  • Adult Coaching – refers to the training sessions delivered by coaches as part of the Adult Training
  • Adult Training – refers to CBVA’s training program for players who are typically over 18 years of age, and are graded by gender groups and ability, without any exclusions to participate.

Operations

CBVA coaches are expected to:

  • Facilitate training sessions of 1.5 hours for paid participants.
    • Coaches will be compensated for 2 hours of time for each training session, where the remaining 30 mins can be used for equipment setting up / packing down and other administrative tasks.
  • Use the provided technology platform provided by CBVA (Mindbody).
  • Register the attendance of participants to training sessions in Mindbody before the conclusion of the class.
  • Cancel training sessions in Mindbody if there are less than 4 (i.e. < 4) attendees registered at the time the booking window closes.
    • It is the coach’s responsibility to cancel this class in Mindbody, with assistance provided by CBVA in exceptional circumstance.
  • Comply with CBVA’s direction in relation to coaching program coordination and delivery.
  • Maintain current coaching accreditation with Volleyball Australia.
    • Level 2 and below coaches may coach up to Intermediate A level classes.
    • Level 3 and above coaches may coach any classes (from Beginner B to Advanced AA).

CBVA coaches must not:

  • Accept direct payment (cash or electronic) for training sessions.
