Where to Play
Sydney has 37 amazing beaches, but beach volleyball players can only be found in a few of them:
Coogee: To set up nets you need authorisation from the Randwick Council. CBVA has agreed with the council to set up nets at the northern part of the beach.
Maroubra: Permanent poles at the southern side. SBVS runs social leagues trhoughout the year, check http://www.beachvolleyball.com.au/play for more info
Tamarama: One of the best beaches for Volleyball in the world, due to the natural walls stopping the wind and the flat, white sands. Waverly Council allows only 4 nets here. There is no social club, nets belong to individual players.
Bondi: Beach volleyball portable nets are allowed at at the southern end of the most famous beach of Sydney, next to the Skate Park.
Manly: 8 permanent poles, 2 with artificial lights: The most popular spot to play volleyball in Sydney. NBVA tournaments are held here.
Brighton: The newest site with permanent poles. BBVA tournaments are held here.
